ILAN's forty branches and thirty facilities are spread throughout Israel and offer services to the disabled population in all sectors of society. As a matter of course, close mutual cooperation between ILAN and local governmental authorities has developed. In some localities welfare department representatives make use of facilities in ILAN's local centers to combine financial and physical resources and promote common projects and initiatives.
Each year, to mark the opening of the March of Dimes, ILAN's annual fundraising campaign, mayors and heads of local governments receive ILAN volunteers and disabled individuals in their offices. They frequently take this opportunity to publicly make their financial contribution as a way of encouraging its local citizenry to do likewise. In addition, mayors, local government heads, and employees are attentive to the problems ILAN confronts in their municipalities and make every effort to assist.
